Since I was a little girl I dreamed with to be in university, because all my cousins that was near me in that time studied in university, and casually in Universidad de Chile, they told me so many stories that happened them in there, respect to all that lived day by day for study for every subject, and they needed the technology to carry out this, and for this all I wanted is entering college for I can live the same, for I can use all of things that offer technology and learn of this experience.Now I'm in college ,I'm living all I ever dreamed and more, and I can see that technology is one of the most important things that help you lead a university life according to twenty one century.
The tecnology offer so many things , but all related to help people whether in your career or job.

One of things that offer technology, through computer is get information that you need for study, do a work for university.
Universidad de Chile, know that people have acces to technology, for that all information with respect to marks of exams or information with subjects, upload to internet in page of university, called "aula digital".
This is the most important in my university life, because all that I must to know is in internet, therefore technology is all in my university life.
Other thing that offer the technology is can discover new things, in my case I use very often microscope in Histology subject, to see our body tissues, this show me that this university has the best technology that ever dreamed, my teachers tell me that I must to take advantage all that offer me the technology that give me university.
In this year I had several subjects, in them I use technology for search information, but in the subject called OINPROF I have to use the other way the technology, because I must to went to Luis Tizne hospital.In there I had to use several tecnological objects, monitors that show me echography,stethoscope, but
the most important is polygraph, which is used to measure physiological changes in rate pressure, heart rate, breathing and skin conductance. This machine realizes four functions that former realized machines separately, and this demonstrates all that has advanced the technology nowadays.


Although, I dreamed with entering college for all technology that would gives me, when I came university I discovered the meaning of technology in the life of students, really is the key tool to render an optimal way in university, because give you all that you need, like information about essays, experiments, scientific studies and in all possible languages, giving information obtained in different parts of the world forming networks that serve you in your college life, but in my case the most important is that offer me the gives me the chance to see the vital signs of patients, discovering diseases and may well help people in the area of health, specifically women and newborns, because I study obstetrics, that is my passion.

Hello, today I'm going to talk about the challenges in my discipline, obstetrics.
In the past, my career and nursing were one,but now each one is a university career.
Because nursing focuses on first aid and pathologies of people,however obstetrics is concerned with women and the newborn, with repect to health, pregnancy, puerperium, etc...and as the woman is a fundamental pillar in the family, the challenges in my discipline are very important, because you must admit that if the woman feels bad, the family feels bad too.
The important challenges in obstetrics are: with respect education area get of the government more money for solve courses of education with respect to the people that haven't knowledge related to sexuality, ways of protection against sexually transmitted diseases.
Other challenge related to education for the people is, and do education courses for these people, we must create appropriate programs for them, through the realization of studies the needs of people.
Other challenge is know to use instruments like stethoscope, monitors,pressure kit and thermometer.
Obstetrics also has challenges related to technology, because day to day the tecnology progresses thank people that discover new things that help to people work in health area, like midwives.
Other is have the enough knowledge to treat the pathologies and diseases are discoving every day,I mean, midwives need study all them life for understand and treat of right way the diseases.
If I analize in a general way the problems of each area, education, technology and social issues, the problems aren't critical, I mean, if midwives are disposeds this will be easier, I mean, sort it in future.
With respect to education, I think that the government must to give more money for solve the differents programs proposed for people.
In fact, if I would a midwife now, I give the government real informations and dates
demonstrating that is used for something good,so the government would approve the increase in money.
And with respect to technology, the future midwives must study a lot before use the instruments like monitors.
In my case I think that If the all midwives were of the Universidad de Chile, all have the enough knowledge to the level of technology.

Hello, today I'm going to talk about my faculty and how I can improve it.
Well, my faculty is called Medicina, but in here have eight careers, like Obstetrics, nursing, physical therapy, etc...So this faculty is huge, because needs an infrastructure suitable for the people that study and work in here.
When I was registered in the university, the secretary I told me that my faculty is one of the most old, so I imagined that my faculty will be archaic, but I commited a
mistake consistent with the progress of the century twenty-one, with this I mean that the university has many classrooms, computer labs , laboratory experiments,
restaurant , gym, etc...
and the infraestructure of this things is so good, because is suitable for people that are in university, for example, offers air conditioning in summer.
But I think that the university needs improve some things, like the computers of the library, they are the worst that I used in my life, because are slow, have virus and so many times haven't mouse or computer keyboard.
And the other thing that need improve is the restaurant because is being small for all the people having lunch there.
The first steps to dealing with this situation are: make a survey the opinions of the people using computers in the library and if the people agree with me ,then I write a letter to dean giving information on what happened with the computers.
If the dean aswer my letter and she agree with me, with respect to fix or replace the computers, it will be perfect, but I guess that I write a letter to dean , the anwer I got the answer two months later, because she must be busy.
The real benefits of fix or replace computers and make the restaurant bigger that now , it will be better for the people that who spend almost all day in the university.

Hello my dear friends, today I'm going to talk about my hobbies.
I am a multifacetic person, I love make differents things , but my hobbies aren't so much.
Well,my hobbies are: swim, voluntary work in C.E.A.I.M. But defenitively my favourite hobbies is sing, because I sing since I had 7 years old, and I remember that one day I asked my mother if she can pay me a course in some singing school.
My mother accepted my request and I registered in the singing school of Miriam Hernandez and I left this school when I had fourteen years old, and take up again when I was in 3rd grade and I signed up in the festival voice in the school Colonial and I won the first price. Since this day I participate in differents festivals.
For this hobbie I need have a refined voice, be expressive and haven't afraid of public.
With respect my second hobbie, swim, I love practice it!, but since I am in the university, I don't have so much time for practice it, this is not good, because with him I to throw the stress, and I feel healthy.
I did start to practice it, when I was in first grade, because in my school was obligatory to practice any sport and I choosed swim and I succeeded, because I loved in the moment that I practice in the pool of my school.
For this hobbie I need good physical condition, free time, be responsible and above all want to practice it!.
And the last hobbie that I'm going to talk is that I have a voluntary work in C.E.A.I.M., this abbreviation means "Centro de apoyo integral a la mujer", and here I am a voluntary,I teach all fridays biology and chemistry of secundary to mrs between twenty and fourty years old. I did start in the 2005,for practice it I need have to patience, good disposition, knowledge about biology and chemistry.
I think that my hobbies have contribuited of possitive way in my personality, because helped me to be a expressive and sociable person and this makes that I get in touch with other people, because my three hobbies to practice with people of my age or in the case of my hobbie " voluntary work", I share with older people than me.

Hello, today I'm going to talk about the different places that I would like to visit in summer, like Viña del Mar, Pucón and Mendoza.
The first place that I like to talk is Mendoza, this city I like to visit so much, because the weather is nice and this let me wear summer clothes. Mendoza offers me so many activities related sports like BXM and too related with arts like go to the theater.
With respect Viña del Mar, this is my favourite place because I have an apartment there, so I can go when I want. This city is amazing, above in the night, because offers pubs, discos, restaurants with good music and parties with ambients like fire, water, air and others things...when I go to Viña del Mar I have a great time!.
And Pucon is ideal for go to relax ,visiting several beachs and you can too go to visit the turistic places near of Pucon like Villarrica.
Other place but that I like to visited in the 2006 In is Bariloche.
This place is amazing, all that I lived here it was perfect, because I went to my friends named Catalina, Andy and Carolina. Bariloche offers activities for the differents types of person, this is good because anybody can visit it, and have a great time.
In my case, I visited the lake Nahuelhuapi, this is huge, in fact, the people said that in this lake fit eight times Santiago!!.
Other fun place is Cerro Viejo, that located near Bariloche, and is wonderful because have a big pool with bar and dance floor in there, offer good food in one of the best restaurants in Bariloche, where the chefs are monitors,too, of the differents activities in Cerro Viejo.
Other place that I visited in Bariloche it was the Bypass disco, that is incredible , because have four ambients like ambients of reggaeton, electronic music, pop, etc...
With respect for my next summer, I would like to visit Sevilla, because one of the best friends lives here, and I want to visit her. She told me that Sevilla have the best food "casera" in the world and have a beautiful architecture.
But if I choose a place for that I want to go parties , beach and go with my friend it would be Reñaca in Viña del Mar, because here is the boom of the summer.

Hello, today I'm going to talk about an article that tells us a succes that impacted in all USA, leaving us thoughtful about the "teen pregnancy " that happened in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
what happened was that seventeen girls from the same secundary school, they are friends, and became pregnant the same year. The article was named "Perfect storm",like the movie wich has the same name because it happened in the same place.
wich caused many speculations with regard to the motive of seventeen pregnancies,but all speculations point at external influences.
One of the external influences is the movie "Juno" , because this movie shows the possitive aspects of "teen pregnancy" so this is one of the reasons that propose some people of Gloucester.
Other reason that propose the people are the problems in the familys of this seventeen girls.
But the speculation that all the people believe is that the seventeen girls made a treat called "pregnancy pact", in which they could get to an agreement to take care of the babies.
After days of silence for part of the teenagers, but with rumors and speculations in the Gloucester, one of the seventeen girls, Lindsey Oliver spoke on tv and she said that it wasn't a "pregnancy pact", and she added : “There was a group of girls already pregnant that decided they were going to help each other to finish school and raise their kids together,” she ended said that was a coincidence.
The end of the article, Kathy McManus leaves an open question, which says who is the fault for these pregnancies, the "perfect storm" (external factors), or was the responsibility of teenagers?... Well I agree with the second choise, because they are enough adults for discernment of what they want for their lives and in this case for their children, because if the rumors are true that they said in the Gloucester, are not sufficient and relevant reasons for having a child.

Hello everybody, today I'm going to talk about the importance of make any sport.
I agree with this sentence because the sport is the one of the factors that leads you to having a healthy life style.
In my case, my family since I was a little child, signed me up in several schools of deports. So I practiced different sports during my childhood and in my adolescence, like swimming, volleyball.
When I was in secundary I practiced two sports that I loved : BMX and I was cheerleader, which are very fun and exciting, especially BMX because is a sport exposure to danger associated with danger, but when Iwas practiced this two deports I felt so good, happy and healthy.
I think that the impact of sport on a country's health is big , especially positive, because practice any sport is not just for fun, in countries like USA, where the obesity rate is high, they need to practiced sports to have a healthy life style, because the obesity prevents them from realizing your activities, but in this country, the sport doens't have a great impact, but in Chile, I think tha the impact is great!, because everyday in the television show commercial to promote in the people to practice any sport, and in general when I'm going to walk in the street, I see so many people practice several sports, like basketball, football, etc..
I encourage to do more sport in children, teenagers and adults of several ways, for example: I would offer free classes in schools of deports that they want, because in Chile, practice any sport it doesn't cheap, so this option is good for the people that don't have money, like too the people that don't have this problem.
I think that everyday the people that practice sport is more and more, and the people worry of doing it the best way.
With respect about if is there a genetic factor or is it social or training that make a sportsman or sportwoman of excellence? I think that the three points have some participation, but the training is the most important in my opinion, because when the people train is because they want to do...and as they say thereabouts WANT IS POWER! :D

Hello, today I'm going to talk about what to do or where to go in santiago.
Santiago offers so many places and activities for you,the foreign tourist.
Speaking of the different places that you should to visit, I recommend you visit to San Jose de Maipo, because offers a beautiful landscape, full of plants, flowers If you want to rest, you must to go.
In the way to San Jose de Maipo, there is a bridge, there you can practice bungee, is fun and not very expensive.
Other things that you should do in Santiago is to visit the metropolitan zoo, it is in the "San Cristobal" hill, the zoo is gorgeous, because have all the animals of Noah's arc, like Zebra, Giraffe, Panda bear, etc...
you should visit also MIM, that means "museo interactivo mirador", is for people of all the ages, because offers interactive things like, make a bubbles and get into them,also you can learn to fly the plane, to draw with a electric pen, it's so funny!.
With respect to visit malls in Santiago, one of the best is "Parque Arauco", because have all the activities that you would like to do, for example: go to Bowling, ice skate, play pool, enjoy a good theatre play, etc...
And the last place that I recommend you is "Estadio Español", and it is in Las Condes.It is a social club,but you can go, because is cheaper. Offers white and black cinema, ride a horse, swim in waterpool, and a restaurant where the food is delicious.
All the places and activities that I recommend you, are very different, to give several possibilities for different personality types.But I guarantee you that you have a great time!.

Hello, today I'm going to talk about transantiago, the new system of locomotion in Santiago, that started in 2007.
In my opinion the new system, transantiago is worse than the pretransantiago, because I can not use it.
The system transtiago isn't good, if I compare to with the system
pre-transantiago, because the new system it doesn't allow me to get to my house, because I live in the outskirts of Santiago,and the new cover of the buses it's not convenient for me, because the bus stop nearest of my house is very far and I have to walk a lot.
In the other hand, with the sytem pre-santiago was useful for me, and the cost of ticket was cheaper than the new system, because in the transantiago, you don't pay with money to driver,you have to charge a card always and with this you can pay the bus faster.
with respect about the changes that I would apply, the first that I would do will be, change the covers to the buses in the Santiago center and the outskirts, because in my case this will be wonderful,I mean I could take the bus directly to my house, because in this moment, my dad is my "driver", he brings me to my house and to university.
I think is very important, make changes in this system, transantiago, because the people it isn't happy, I mean... this system it not good for them because there are not enough buses, the people can't get into the buses, and they are angry and stressed out.
I hope that the government make something about this system to make it better for the people.

Hello again!, today I’m going to talk about the country that I would like to visit, Siria.
Siria is a country of Middle East, in that place people speak arabic language .
I would like to visit Siria, because I am of Arabian ascent, all my family on the part of my mother came from this place, and I want know my roots.
My mother, called Jazmín Litza Nara Rumie, thought me a lot of traditions of this country, like the typical dance, belly dance, also to cook the typical food, like Cupiney.
One of the best things about this country are the several beautiful places like the capital Damasco which haves pubs, discos, restaurants, arts and crafts market.
For me, the best of Siria is it`s amazing architecture, which I would like to watch in person soon, because my dad promise me that if I pass all the subjects in this year, he will pay me the travel to Siria.
But I must say that I don’t want to travel alone, it will be perfect to travel with some friend or relative.
In the future I would like to live in Siria, and to work there as an obstetrician.
But first, I have to study so much in my country to be a great professional.

Hello again, today I'm going to talk about my experiences during the past term,which was very difficult and interesting at the same time.
In february,when I decided study Obstetrics in the Universidad de Chile, I felt so happy and excited,because I love this area, but I never thought that the subjects were very difficults, I have to say that I felt a little afraid,but with the pass of time... I realized that the career it wasnt hard,in fact I had good marks in the several subjects like biology, genetics, mathematics, above all in embriology they were relevant things that I learned.
I took the "comunication" general formation course in the first term , it was so fun and productive, because in it I learned so many things like how to comunicate with the patients when I work in the hospitals or clinics.
I spent my free time going out to he cinema, the zoo and pubs with my friends of my neighborhood. It was one of the good points in the first term.
And talking about my family, I didnt share enought time with them, because I had to study a lot.But in this term I will try to share more with them, especially with my little brother called Francisco, he is in the secundary and he needs my help to study and learn easier.
I hope get in this term good marks in the news subjects like anatomy.

Hello, today I'm going to talk about a review, about Sir Ken Robinson's
conference, which is entitled "Schools Kill Creativity", and well in
this conference Sir Robinson talks about the mistakes that we are
comitting in our traditional education system, because we are not
enhancing the real habilities of the students.
And well, first of all I must say that one of the highlights is the big
interest of this men in education, also this men, Sir Ken Robinson, is a
person who can catch the attention from the audience with clear words and
with a lot of jokes, his control over the things he says is really remarkable
and his standing in front of the audience is with authority about what the
topics he talk about.
One of the things that he mentioned and that I think that is true, is the fact of the schools don't develop the other kinds of habilities that students could have, because in the schools the main subjects are the ones related with numbers and literature, and the they don't work with artistic habilities like dancing or painting, etc... So this herairchy is what kills creativity on the students who
have other kind of skills.
The other topic to distinguish is the fact that little kids are not afraid to be wrong, but when they grow up, when they become adults, they acquire the afraid to be wrong, which don't let them to be creatives.
And finally, he says that our task is to educate the student's whole being, so they can face the future as integrals persons, the ones who can be the best in what they are really the best.

Hello!, today I'm going to talk about my blogging experience.
Every fridays of the semester, I read in my blog named karimejadille, this experience has been wonderful, because I practice my English writing and listening .
Has been one way interactive and fun, is the alternative way,and I learned several things.

I really enjoy my blog, because I wrote so many things... I remember the first time that I wrote in my blog, about me and my life, then I wrote my favourite piece of tecnology ,the notebook, because offers me several tools and programs that I use in the university.

I wrote too about my career, where I told the reasons because I choosed Obstetrics.
But one of my favourites ,is about my favourite subject: cellular bases, genetic and ontogenetic development of human, because I learned so many things,for example in the unit of genetic, the teachers teached me the correlation of the pattern of development in the early embrionary period in the several lives beings like the frog Xenopus, mouse, chicken, and rabbit.

I think that my blog help me improve my english, because I have errors in the grammar,and to remember the vocabulary and rules of redaction that I had forgotten.

In my opinion the advantages of blogging in the English class were help me to improve my english,learning in contact with technology (computer and programs) and the possibility that can express my opinion in several topics like the best in my area,my favourite page of my career and my future in five years.
And disadvantages of blogging in the english class were that the time gave for write in the blog sometimes was insufficient because I don´t know to speak a perfect english, is hard to me write fast and perfect in english,I needed time for search.

Hello again! today I'm going to talk about my ideal job,
I want to work like a professional midwife in the some hospital
or clinic in Chile.
For this job, I need several skills and qualities, because is
the one of the jobs more complete in the area of health.
First, I must have the vocation to work of effective way, have
to the knowledge for the support to the mother in the pregnancy
period,know use to implements for attend to the delivery,
take control in the situations that are surprise,like the
deliveries at night and above all have so much time for this job,
because the deliveries aren't programmed, sometimes the midwife
must go to the hospital in the night because she got a phone call
very late.
Why you would be good at this job?
Because I feel that I have the vocation in this job, and many of the qualities for this job, like have knowledge for the attend the delivery, take control in sorprise deliveries, and above all I study so much in this period ,to be the best midwife.

I think that is not difficult to find this kind of job, because in mis case my aunt have a clinic, and all my cousins studied something career of the area of the health to work in this clinic, is like a tridition, and my aunt said me that I will have work in her clinic, but I want to in hospitals too, and there is difficult to find a work.
But I am positive :D.

Hello! today I'm going to talk about my favourite subject.In this term is bases cellular, genetic and ontogenetic development of human,but especially the unit ontogenic development of human, because I learn the whole embryonic development
of lives beings, like of chicken, zebra fish, frog xenopus and others.
This unit, teach me three teachers, their names are Miguel Concha,
Mariana Rojas and Felipe Venegas, they are so kind with me ,they love
teach to the students new things.
They are three teachers because one teach me the theoretical thing and
other two, teach me in laboratory or Room class of practical work.
I like this subject because I learn so many thing,for example in the unit of genetic, the teachers learn me the correlation of the pattern of development in the early embrionary period in the several lives beings like the frog, mouse, chicken, and rabbit.
Also I like because the theoretical and practical classes are very entertaining, because they make us draw, watch videos, beside writing as is the usual thing.
I learn so many things in this subject that serves me to my career, like know the celullar and genetics process in the lives beings in the period embrionary.
I'm so glad with this subject.







¿Qué ha aprendido este semestre?

Me in five years but God willing, will be a graduate of my career and working ...
but I am working with my aunt farah, she was the one that made me love the area of health.
she works at the Universidad Católica Clinic, but also opened a clinic particular, it is for this
reason that I will work with it when discharge because, as she says: I have saved a place in your workgroup.
Also traveling to conventions abroad, related to my career by learning more about caring for the mother and baby during pregnancy.
In five years, not living with my parents, as it will have a job and you can buy an apartment,
and hopefully live with my close friends.
I'm sure at that time, you can play sports and spend more time with my family.
My ideal future is leaving the race, working for a while with my aunt, but after independence, opening a consultation, but the benefit of the poor, that is something more social, not money.
And I hopefully have a good income to fulfill the dream of my grandmother, to open a restaurant of typical Chilean food.

I hope that in that year, not so much violence, abuse towards people and decrease of disease throughout the World, because at this time, hospitals are not giving slaughter.

with respect at my family, I am sure you will have more time to share between them, because I imagine in five years but the system that governs this country take into account the inadequate time that people working today, so changes and achieve a better performance from them.

Hi again, I'm going to talk about my career .
In first time I wanted to study odontology, it was my only option, but when I come
the day of the postulation , I decided to postulate also obstetrics , because I feel
something so special for the newborn child , I think that exist a feeling between
the babies and me.
This is a one of the reasons because I choose Obstetrics .
Other one of the reasons is that I feel that I have something that to
reach in the area of the health, specially, to attend to mothers who
do not have many resources to be attended in the clinics, hospitals ...
or to be employed at villages where even the obtetrics has not come
and only they are attended by doctors.
This career is so important in the society, because always babies
are born, as my mother says:
-"Daughter your these in direct contact with the future of Chile",
and I think the same, this phrase there includes much of what we do
that we study obstetrics.
The principal function of the matron is to worry entirely about the
newborn child, as his embryonic and foetal period, his nourishment,
everything what it has to see with the quality of life of the newborn child.
Also the care of the mother in the pregnancy, as her nourishment in this
period and the attention in the delivery.
I'm so happy that study obstetrics...it was the best choise of my life.
I expect to be for good professional one in the future.

The photo was taken in the summer of 2008 In Con-con.
The day was taken when I was walking near the beach and we found to this shark surfer,
that invites to the people to go to the beach, and to enjoy the sand, the sun and the sea.
So my family and I , accept his invitation and we went to the beach.
But first my brother took the photograph with the shark surfer, and all the people who was in the beach were looking as my brother were giving myself indications to pose for the photo, making people laugh very much and for that I and I became very nervous, because of it I have this face in the photo.
This photo remember me that spends it incredibly in
these summer , definitively one of the best of my life.
Beceause I met my family arabic descendants that I
not to knew , uncles, cousins, great-aunts ,etc...
I knew that I will not see again , because of it be useful
of sharing all the time with them and showing them my country, Chile.

My favourite piece of tecnology is the notebook, because is too much favorable to my.


For example ,serves me, me cousins report with people of all sides, even of other countries.


Also offers me many tools to realize works, reports for the university, like word, powerpoint, excel , acrobat, photoshop .


The notebook has great aptitude to guard files, this is very important for my, since I guard all the classes in the notebook.


With regard to entretencion, the notebook provides me save music files, and to listen to this music in programs like Ares, windows media, winamp and others.


It is incredible as a technological piece helps yourself to solve things that you need in day after day.
Definitively already I cannot separate of, need it with me.
Finishing, the notebook offers you one without end of services and programs for your needs.

because my favourite subject is english , even I went a workshops in my ancient school.
I'm so glad tha to be here with my classmates and you , my teacher, and I can learn new things and above all, speak more fluent english.
This is so important because the english is the universal language as anywhere in the world you can connect with that language , even related a story that it was summer vacation to the north is residential, and my grandfather, then a day to watch the reception came two men who were doctors and monaco and I was able to communicate with them through English.
Ending, I loved this set up a blog in English, rich experience.
